Happy Galentine's Day

If you watch Parks and Recreation you know all about Leslie Knope's favorite day of ever— Galentine's Day. Where you celebrate your amazing friendships with your lady friends. Technically Galentine's Day was more than a month ago on February 13... But really it can be any day!

My intention was to post this last month, but I never got around to finishing it.  And the reason I am getting around to it now is because just last week there was another Parks and Recreation episode called Galentine's Day. In the episode Leslie holds auditions for a new best friend, since Ann Perkins is no longer living in Pawnee.  She holds a Galentine's Day brunch a month after admitting that Galentine's Day is any day that ladies get together.

Last year I hosted a Galentine's tea and it was a lot of fun. We chit-chatted, ate and watched the first Galentine's Day episode of Parks and Rec.  We love anything that brings us gals together to catch up because we all have such busy lives.

Here are some awesome Galentine's Day cards I found on the interwebs.

If you need any more proof why Galentine's Day is the best day and should replace Valentine's Day altogether, look no further than Buzzfeed

Big Sister Promotion

One of our really good friends is having her second baby and we couldn't be happier for her family.

She asked me to create something for announcement pictures.  If you search on Pinterest, there's a lot of the same thing and even though you want to be original, there are only so many ways you could say, "I'm having a baby!" We did want to focus on Isabella becoming a BIG sister.  I researched and used little bits of inspiration from other announcements online.

Andrea took some family portraits with the announcement and they came out so great.  I love the one of Isabella jumping, her toes are pointed, it's just adorable.

Congrats again Andrea, Kyle and Isabella!

Calendar Turned Wall Art

Last year my sister Ashley, gave me a Cavallini Paris Wall Calendar from Paper Source. It hung in my office all year long. It's so beautiful! I couldn't part with these illustrations of Paris, so I decided to frame & hang them in my office. I bought frames from Ikea for $1.99 each. I hung the frames with 3M Command Strips & voilà! a $10 project that improved my office. For those of you that have kept up with my office DIY's (here & here), I feel like my office is shaping up nicely. Thoughts?
