Poor Man's Chili

We were really smart about our planning of the Tea and Social. We planned on making a crockpot recipe, something easy, so when the Tea & Social had ended we would have dinner ready!

Christina's sister, Natalie, had this long period of time when she would make crockpot recipes everyday. They're so simple, you just add all of the ingredients and leave it! Natalie became so knowledgable about crockpot recipes she wanted to share her findings. A simple recipe that she shared with Christina was Poor Man's Chili.

The recipe was perfect for dinner after the Tea & Social. Once all of the vendors had packed up and gone home, we were left, tired and able to reflect on the day.  We grabbed some tea (chai + soy milk) and sat with delicious chili.

This recipe is so easy and Karissa wanted to post it today because she made it on Sunday for a potluck and while browsing Instagram yesterday she saw 3 bowls of chili! (one of them was a pumpkin chili... intriguing)

The Recipe

1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained
1 (15-ounce) can garbanzo beans, drained
1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained
1 (15-ounce) can corn, drained
1 (24-ounce) jar prepared pasta sauce
1 cup baby tomatoes
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon corriander
1 teaspoon tumeric
1 cinnamon stick

Instructions

Put it all in a crock pot for 7 hours on low or 4 hours on high.  And what you will get in return is delicious, spicy, flavorful chili. (that's VEGAN- if you get pasta sauce without meat)  We topped ours off with guacamole, because what doesn't taste good with avocado?! (Don't answer that)

We hope you enjoy this yummy recipe!
